Meditation Made Simple

I hate to be the one to say it, but most of us are stressed over trying to learn the art of meditating.
 
One day I was listen to Thich Nhat Hanh as he guided Oprah through a "tea meditation." I thought, "I can do that..."
 
And just like that, I began to incorporate several ways of meditating made simple for me. Here are a few to try out...
 
 
Walking Meditation
"walking alone and being in appreciation of nature"
 
 
Tea Meditation
"drinking a cup of hot tea and pondering on each sip"
 
 
Hugging Meditation
"grab your partner and hug for 15 minutes without talking..."
 
Remember, meditation and stress don't even go together. So ditch everyone else's concept of meditation and create your own practice today!
 
 
 
Why do we create busy?
 
Its simple, we want to create an image to display to the world that we are worthy of recognition.
 
The moment we release our need to be validated, is the moment being "busy" is no longer attractive.
 
 
 
 
 
EATING CLEAN ON A BUDGET
 
 
 
 
     The most significant change we can implement is to eat more fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables are the key to living a life full of vitality. As a master dieter, I know exactly what it feels like to do harm to the body and mind by going up and down in my weight.
 
     After listening to a CD on "mindful eating," I became knowledgeable as to why I abused myself mentally and physically for years with a food addiction  I am far from being "healed" of this addiction for once and for all, but at least I'm not where I started.
 
     Here I stand, 60lbs lighter celebrating through simple tasks like "keeping up with my 2 year old." In this segment, allow me to share simple ways to "eat clean" and thrive in your vitality.
 
  • Step 1: Eat at least 1-2 raw meals a day including salads or green smoothies.
 
  • Step 2: Juice cleanse on the weekends beginning with a fast after 6 pm on Fridays.
 
  • Step 3: Eliminate all processed foods from your diet.
 
  • Step 4: Substitute sugary snacks for fresh fruit.
 
  • Step 5: Give up potato chips by adding more raw nuts and seeds such as almonds and sunflower. 
 
 
 
And remember, juiceup and wakeup to a better life!
